Mini-Europe

Mini-Europe

We visited Mini-Europe in Brussels and it was an outdoor attraction with miniature monuments from across Europe. At the entrance, we took photos with an orange turtle mascot and they were available in printed photos and keychains as we approached the exit. The gardens were beautiful with several plants and the accessible pathways made the scenery more appealing. The attraction was close to the Atomium which made it convenient for visitors to visit both Mini-Europe and the Atomium in one trip. I saw at least one replica for every EU country, each done with great attention to detail.

Every country has a button you can press to hear their national anthem, and some have other buttons specifically for interactive games. My favorite game was one where we could pay one euro to control the directions of a miniature boat in water. I also enjoyed seeing the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and the Eiffel Tower. Overall, the visit was an entertaining and educational experience, displaying the historical, architectural, and cultural richness of the EU member states and the United Kingdom.
